AIE Melbourne Campus

CRICOS Provider Code: 02619D

Melbourne is Australia’s second largest city; truly cosmopolitan and modern fringed with stunning botanical gardens, lakes and beaches. It is famous for its cafe and restaurants, its shopping and vibrant youth culture and it is home to many of Australia’s oldest institutions, universities and colleges.

Melbourne is also the centre of video game development in Australia, with its games industry constantly looking first to AIE to supply its qualified art and programming specialists.

Located within the Atari Building in Queens Road, AIE Melbourne is at the core of the games industry, sharing premises with Atari Melbourne House, the Game Developers Association of Australia and the newly established Games Innovation Centre. In fact, all of the Victorian games companies are within a narrow radius of AIE Melbourne creating an accessible and exciting environment for AIE students.

In addition, AIE Melbourne fosters strong affiliations with industry and educational events such as Dissecta, Freeplay, the Independent Game Developers Conference and the Australian Game Developers Conference.

Location

AIE Melbourne is located in Queens Road, Melbourne and is a fifteen minute tram ride from the CBD. Students at AIE Melbourne benefit from being part of a small, caring environment. Our central location also means that our students can feel part of the wider student community as we are in close proximity to many universities and tertiary institutions. AIE Melbourne is surrounded by countless cafes, cinemas, galleries, entertainment and sporting facilities.

Door stop access to Melbourne’s tram and bus systems means that students can commute to the inner suburbs or the city centre within minutes. Trams also travel to Flinders Street Station where students can catch a train to any inner or outer suburb of Melbourne.
