Getting Muddy in Dave King's Mudbox Workshops
Throughout August and September Dave King travelled between all three AIE campuses in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne delivering his two day Mudbox workshops.
Receiving rave reviews from all who participated, those who attended learned the ins and outs of Autodesk’s software Mudbox, a digital sculpting and texture painting software that allows 3D modeling professionals the ability to quickly and easily create highly detailed organic and inorganic 3D assets using an intuitive interface.
The classes where broken into two days, with day one building a solid foundation of workflow and day two focusing on more complex studio production techniques such as adding limbs and moving data between models to rescue projects at the 11th hour.
A big thanks to Dave, as well as StormFX and Autodesk - who supplied a prize copy of Mudbox for each of the three campus workshops. The success of this event has now led to further planning of a Creature Design Masterclass, further details on this new workshop coming soon!
